“Once a Playmate, always a Playmate”
Playmate image
Monique Noel
Birthday: 28th April
Issue: May 1989

A Playmate is the model featured in the centerfold of the magazine as Playmate of the Month. For the first issue Marilyn Monroe was the Sweeheart Of The Month and her pictorial was on pages 16 to 18.
The pictorial includes nude photographs and a gatefold poster, as well as a short biography and since July 1977 the "Data Sheet", which lists birthdate, measurements, turn-ons, and turn-offs.
At the end of the year, one of the twelve Playmates of the Month is named Playmate of the Year (PMOY) chosen personally by Hugh Hefner, taking into account an annual readers' poll.

Playmate Birthdays
Although the birth date of most Playmates is known, prior to the July 1977 issue it's not in the magazine. Issues after July 1977 include the Playmate's date of birth on the "Data Sheet".
Use the drop-down-box to find out if you, a friend or a relative share a birthday with a Playmate.
The above drop-down-box of dates will take you to the page for the issue in which the Playmate appears. If the page is not yet filled in - sorry, I will be getting to it as soon as I can. In the meantime you could come back to this page and "select the year" from the drop-down-box at the top of the page to confirm the issue's availability and find out the Playmate's name.
Data Sheet Lore
Every Playmate since Miss October 1959 has filled out a Data Sheet, all of which are now stored in a temperature-controlled vault. Besides turn-ons and turnoffs (which were once called "pet peeves"), the Data Sheets contain the measurements and tastes for each Playmate. Originally designed to provide a writer with background material for the pictorial text, the questionnaires were filed away until 1977, when Hef decided that they should be in the magazine. In July of that year, Sondra Theodore's Data Sheet became the first to appear in Playboy.
