Liv Lindeland, after 18 years and 216 issues, is most commonly attributed as the first Playmate to show her pubic hair. However, Marguerite Empey's February 1956 pictorial includes an underwater photo which clearly shows her pubic hair, making her the first. The second was probably or Sally Duberson Miss January 1965 "tuft" of hair is clearly visible in the centrefold shot.
Liv Lindeland is the Playmate of the Year 1972 and appears again in the December 1979 pictorial Playmates Forever. She is the daughter-in-law of actress-dancer Cyd Charisse.
